NexFiles ships no advertising or analytics SDKs and sells no data.

Your file list is never uploaded or indexed on a server.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the NexFiles Android and iOS apps and the public NexFiles product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for app-store review and for people using the app.

NexFiles does not require a NextEra.One account. If that changes, this policy will be updated before account features are released.

2. Data NexFiles accesses or stores on your device

NexFiles accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

Data type Purpose Where it is stored
Files and folders on your device Browse, move, rename, delete and preview your files. Read and written in your device storage; never sent to NextEra.One.
App settings Remember sort order, view, language and theme. Local app storage on your device.
Optional on-device AI model Summarize or answer questions about a selected text file after you choose to load a model. The model is downloaded to and run on your device. File contents and prompts are not uploaded for inference.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One

NextEra.One does not operate an account service, analytics backend, advertising backend or sync backend for NexFiles. NexFiles does not upload your files and folders to NextEra.One.

The public website may receive ordinary web server request information from visitors, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, through the hosting provider used to publish these static pages. The app itself does not send your data to that website.

4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers

NexFiles does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data can leave your device in these user-initiated cases:

  • A file leaves your device only when you share it to another app yourself.
  • If you choose to load an on-device AI model, the model hosting provider receives the network request and ordinary connection data such as your IP address. NexFiles does not send the selected file or prompt with that download.
  • If you install the app through Google Play or the Apple App Store, that store processes download and purchase-account data under its own policies.

5. Permissions

NexFiles uses platform access only when needed for a feature you choose.

  • Document picker: import only the files you select through Android or iOS system UI
  • Network: download an optional on-device AI model when you explicitly choose Load
  • Local storage: keep imported files and app settings in the app's sandbox

6. Retention and deletion

  • Your files and folders remain in NexFiles's local store until you delete them or clear everything.
  • Local settings remain on device until you change them or uninstall the app.
  • NextEra.One cannot recover deleted local data because it is not synced to a NextEra.One server.
  • You can also clear the app's storage in Android Settings, or delete/uninstall NexFiles on iOS, to remove local app data.

7. Security

NexFiles relies on Android and iOS system document pickers, app sandboxing and local device storage. Because NexFiles does not run a cloud sync service, there is no NextEra.One server copy of your files and folders. Anything you choose to share into other apps is governed by those providers' practices.

8. Children

NexFiles is not directed to children. It is a general-purpose tool intended for users who are allowed to manage their own content on their device.

9. Changes and contact

NextEra.One may update this policy when NexFiles changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
